Parts of area lose electricity overnight

Fallen tree limbs caused more than 1,600 We Energies customers to lose power overnight, but most of the outages have been restored.An outage reported in Milwaukee at about S. 27th St. and W. Layton Ave. took out power to about 250 customers for about three hours before it was restored, company spokesman Brian Manthey said. About the time that outage was fixed, another tree limb hit a utility pole and took out electricity to about 1,400 customers in the Cedar Grove and Saukville areas, he said.About 150 customers in that area remain without power Friday morning and they should have power restored by 10 a.m., Manthey said.
